What is a payment service provider?

A payment service provider (PSP) offers shops online services for accepting electronic payments by a variety of payment methods including credit card, bank-based payments such as direct debit, bank transfer, and real-time bank transfer based on online banking. Typically, they use a software as a service model and form a single payment gateway for their clients (merchants) to multiple payment methods.

Payrexx Direct

Payrexx Direct is the cheapest and easiest service for merchants from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. With Payrexx Direct the following payment methods are available: Visa, MasterCard, AmericanExpress, AntePay, AppelPay, iDeal, Sepa Direct Debit, Sofort, Giropay, EPS, Bancontact. Of course, you can still connect payment methods such as TWINT and PayPal.

Payrexx offers more than 20 payment service providers that can be connected to your Payrexx account. You can connect and combine as many payment service providers as you want. The following providers are available:

Connecting a payment service provider

Navigate to settings -> payment providers in your Payrexx backend and choose your preferred PSP to directly request a contract offer. Within a few days, you will get notified by e-mail with the login data and more information concerning the setup.

To successfully run through the setup, you can either check the associated support manual or let one of the Payrexx experts set up the payment provider for you as part of a mini service.
